Let us think about the word respect. Let us define the word respect. Could we picture what the word respect represents in the current society we live in, in the year 2021? Could we say respect is about ourselves, or is it about someone else? If the answer is about someone else, we are just presenting a confirmation that respect is all about judgement of another, a hidden sentence presented out of a court and promoted by the illusion of seeing another as a threat, which may imply admiration or repudiation supported by fear, rather than observing the self in a non-judgemental attitude to identify room for enhancements. The more we realise the manifestation of negative emotions is nothing more than self-punishment, the more we understand that mind training is all about flourishing the love nature we have already deep inside.

The ancient concept of respect says it is the appreciation we have by the self, reflected by the appreciation we show about someone else. Thus, the moment we step into a state of suffering we lose our self-respect, which is reflected by the lack of appreciation we present about someone else, no matter who and no matter the circumstances. The idea of associating the word respect with other things instead of the accumulated knowledge that has been acquired during the walking path of lifetimes, which can be observed by a special ability and skill a person possesses, is just the embracement of luxury that represents stepping into suffering in a distinct perspective.

The respect (or lack of) we show about another has nothing to do with the person. Respect is everything about the self, translated by our inner peace state that is influencing the balance of our own existence. We cannot disrespect another as the only one we are disrespecting is our own self. The moment we manifest negative emotions derived from what we call ``lack of respect from another”, it is the moment we are actually manifesting the lack of respect we have by ourselves, trying to transfer the responsibility to deal with such an amount of negative emotions to someone else. That is what suffering does, and that is what an unconscious mind is blind to see, deaf to hear, and mute to speak about.

The more we realise the true concept of respect, the more we understand that we observe the impermanence of the universe, the changes of nature, but we live supported by a static and permanent state while out of consciousness, which is derived by illusions suffering promotes into our own perspective and relativity.
