Like a ship navigating on the ocean, with no control about weather and the state of the waters, in life we are not able to control what is on the outside, the events surrounding our daily activities. We are prone to experience the side-effects of external movements, agitation, anything we have contact with. By training our mind we learn tactics to deal with such side-effects, assuming a posture that is able to promote a peaceful environment while cultivating peace of mind. Sometimes we have to hold a position, and sometimes we have to just go with the flow to prevent a strong blow to our live vessel. The more we realise not harming others, what is on the outside, and ourselves are the ultimate goals to achieve peace of mind, the more we understand there is no single solution but the one that is suitable for the moment we are experiencing.
In the interaction with the environment we have to be conscious about what is happening in the surroundings, which type of events we are experiencing and having contact with. It is important to understand there is no way to control others, and what they do, but we can use our consciousness to learn how to deal with the source of chaos. Experiencing chaos out of consciousness has little or no benefit to the self, as we are not able to learn the true purpose or cause of a chaotic event. By using our consciousness with finesse, we are able to put ourselves in a positive perspective of chaos, observing, making reason, and understanding details we could not even recognise out of consciousness.
The idea of understanding chaos and its side-effects is not something we do in public, while surrounded by other persons in an open and uncontrolled scene. It is something we do in our privacy, alone, conscious that the scene is under control, and the sequence of events well-understood to get the best outcome from it. What we learn from those moments is priceless, with the huge capability of making us proud about the awareness level we have achieved by the use of the power of our own mind. Another is not able to understand what is happening from the outside, but we are sure what we have just learnt from the inside.
The moment we realise there is much more knowledge in chaos than we could imagine, it is the moment we understand how we are able to extract it by our own experiences.
