We need to understand slavery is no more, although the illusion humans have created about that is still vivid in the present moment. We still enslave other sentient beings, sometimes justifying our ‘superiority’ just because we’ve a brain and the capability of thinking, reasoning, and understanding. However, it seems we’re not using such extraordinary abilities when the matter is enslaving others, and therefore, the argument tears itself apart. A superior race isn’t the one who rules and controls all the others but the one who puts themselves into a position able to speak and listen to everyone as equals, working on to keep the harmony of the environment, and the natural flow of life as it meant to be: impermanent.
It’s important we start thinking about how the society we’re part of is heading towards, implying the need to observe, analyse, and understand how we’re behaving before nature, and how we insert ourselves into the ecosystem we’ve the intrinsic duty to protect. It’s a matter of perspective and the ability to keep consciousness at hand no matter the circumstances. The more we do that, the better we’re able to observe the self and the surroundings, boosting the alignment with our love nature, and recognising and facing the presence of darkness in a conscious and meaningful way.
The more we think of uniting all sentient beings walking on this planet called Earth, the better we start observing what we’ve already achieved, and what we still have to work on to keep walking towards such a noble goal. If we’re really the only species on this planet with capability of thinking, reasoning, and understanding, we need to be the first one to use such extraordinary abilities to make the planet a better place to live, not only for ourselves but all species part of the huge ecosystem we’re inserted into.
