When we start keeping consciousness at hand, understanding what the purpose of life is, we realise the tough decisions we need to make in order to keep walking the path towards a meaningful life. It’s extremely important we use the presence of darkness and all negativity in the surroundings as a way to step into our personal evolution. It’s all about finding how to cultivate and nurture the beautiful light we’ve deep within. It’s all about embracing no negative conditioning, even if it’s a cultural trace and the norm in the environment we’re inserted into. Becoming a source of light in the middle of an environment dominated by hatred culture implies in understanding how harsh and hard our life journey would be. The moment we’re genuine to the self, it’s the moment no difficulty or challenge is able to diminish our motivation to keep consciousness at hand, step into our personal evolution, and walk the path towards a meaningful life no matter the circumstances.

Are you afraid of darkness? If you’re conscious of the awful behaviour we need to deal with in an environment dominated by hatred culture but, at the same time, don’t feel prepared to face darkness, you need to perform your body and mind training until you do. Some of us can hide during the training period; others have no choice but facing darkness while acquiring knowledge, learning, and performing their body and mind training. Being able to hide or not implies different types of challenges and difficulties we need to overcome. The ability of hiding from darkness may appear to be the easier and faster way but, actually, makes it more challenging to be exposed to sources of negativity we can only be exposed to when darkness is active in the surroundings. Thus, there’s no right or wrong strategy of facing darkness and dealing with the negative conditioning we’re subjected to in the environment we’re inserted into. There’s only the capability of adapting the self to draw a strategy suitable for the situation we’re living in the present moment.

Let’s be brave and conscious of the wonderful Buddha’s teaching that says: wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing that; and right is right even if we’re the only one doing that.
