Slavery is something we cannot deal with while experiencing deep periods of suffering. We need to keep consciousness at hand in order to be able to observe, recognise, analyse, and understand the existence of minds in suffering who are still embracing and promoting such an awful practice. Every conscious being knows slavery is one of the pillars supporting the cult of suffering. We usually cannot step out of our own suffering because we have become a slave of it. As a consequence, slavery is the reason hatred culture has grown so strong, as it’s only by conditioning people to be slaves of their own suffering that few can control many with little or no effort. Keeping consciousness at hand, cultivating and nurturing the beautiful light we’ve deep within, is nothing more than liberating the self from suffering to walk the path towards a meaningful life.

Buddha, the enlightened one, has promoted the wonderful teaching and understanding that we’re all the same, which means, we aren’t meant to be slaves of our own suffering, becoming puppets in the hand of others. We’re meant to acquire knowledge as much as we can, sharing such knowledge in a way that we can achieve a collective evolution, eventually. Unfortunately, we’re still far away from doing that, as values derived from slavery are still strong in the society we’re part of.

The first step to be able to face darkness and deal with minds in suffering promoting the practice of slavery is understanding our own suffering. It’s only by understanding our own suffering that we can liberate the self from being a slave of it, keeping consciousness at hand no matter the circumstances. As a result of becoming attached to suffering no more that we can cultivate and nurture the beautiful light we’ve deep within, enhancing our kindness, compassion, and non-judgemental attitude towards the self and others.

The moment we realise how beneficial it’s to be free from the conditioning acts related to slavery, it’s the moment we understand why we need such freedom to genuinely attain higher levels of peace of mind in a conscious and meaningful way.
