When facing the presence of darkness in the surroundings, the most concerning situation regarding the dishonest, deceptive, and dishonoured behaviour is intimidation. Let me use an example of a mind in suffering stalking someone else representing such darkness’ behaviour. The person stalking another performs a permanent surveillance, making the target person feel threatened by their presence in the surroundings, and therefore, making the target person feel the constant fear of suffering an accident, or an attack any moment soon. Performing our body and mind training, eventually learning how to effectively apply defensive manoeuvres when required to, helps diminish—or even eliminate—any fear we may have about anyone, or any situation we find unusual, awkward, or even threatening. We just need to be prepared for the unknown. The moment we realise how to perform our body and mind training to get prepared for dealing with anything, which implies attaining higher levels of peace of mind to make a tough call to defend ourselves and innocent people besides us, it’s the moment we understand intimidation and fear are no more.
It’s extremely important we learn how to defend ourselves in an efficient and effective way, no matter the circumstances. The easiest way of doing that is learning a martial art. However, it’s not the only way. If we go to the extreme, we can develop our own methods for doing so, resembling how a martial art has been created before being transmitted to anyone else. The goal is self-defence, and it’s when we’ve such a goal clear in our mind that we get more focused on becoming effective when applying defensive manoeuvres in situations that require us to do so.
Intimidation and fear are no more, no matter either the circumstances or who’s in the surroundings. The idea of learning how to apply defensive manoeuvres when required to is sending a clear message to a stalker, or anyone else trespassing the invisible barrier of our personal space and privacy—which configures the violation of fundamental human rights—that we know exactly what to do if we get such a violation on the act. It implies this type of intimidation may work with children or injured people who cannot defend themselves properly but not with a conscious mind, who can be anything but a coward.
Feeling safe with our intrinsic abilities and learned capabilities of defending ourselves also helps in our body and mind training, enabling a boost in the obtained results of attaining higher levels of peace of mind, and stepping into higher stages of our personal evolution, eventually. The establishment of a safe ground enhances our intrinsic ability to cultivate and nurture the beautiful light we’ve deep within, sharing and spreading our love from the inside out in a conscious and meaningful way.
Let’s just be prepared for the unknown and walk the path towards a meaningful life.
